Jed M. Cohen, a seasoned professional investment manager with over 40 years of experience, formed GKM Advisers, a registered investment advisory, in January 2000 and serves as the Chief Investment Strategist. His investment banking experience includes 10 years as a Senior Managing Director at Gruntal & Co.; 14 years as a Limited Partner at Bear, Stearns & Co.; and 9 years as a General Partner at Kleiner, Bell & Co. In the mid-1960's, Cohen was associated with members of the President's Council of Economic Advisors with whom he spent several years exchanging ideas on the evolving economic outlook, taxation, the Federal Reserve System, and other matters of national fiscal and monetary policy. His career has been devoted to stock research, corporate finance, and long-term economic forecasting.
Timothy J. Wahl, CPA

Timothy J. Wahl assisted in the formation of GKM Advisers in January of 2000. He is also a Trustee and President of the GKM Funds, which launched the GKM Growth Fund in December of 2001. Mr. Wahl has spent the last 17 years in the capital markets arena. Prior to GKM Advisers, he operated his own investment advisory, Wahl Financial, which subsequently served as the business model for GKM Advisers. Before forming Wahl Financial, he worked as a NASDAQ market maker with Gruntal Securities in Los Angeles followed by Cruttenden Roth in Irvine, CA. He earned his CPA credential while working for Deloitte and Touche, auditing large money management firms and professional sports franchises. Mr. Wahl played professional baseball for the Milwaukee Brewers while completing his college education at Oklahoma City University and California State University at Dominguez Hills with a BS in Accounting.
Glenn Goodstein
Glenn Goodstein joined the GKM Advisers team in 2002. Goodstein previously founded GSG Capital Advisors LLC, an investment firm launched in 1995, managing investment assets for high net worth individuals, pensions, and trusts throughout the United States. GSG Capital Advisors LLC is also the General Partner of Mercury Partners LP, an investment partnership founded in 1997. Prior to that, Goodstein was a partner with Samuels Asset Management and associated with its affiliated broker-dealer, Samuels, Chase & Co., Inc. Goodstein began his business career with ADP, a NYSE-traded company, in sales and marketing. In addition to long-time board membership with a Los Angeles-based children's social services agency, Goodstein is currently a board member of the NYSE-traded company The Mexico Equity and Income Fund. Goodstein graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor's degree in Economics.
Steven Steinberg
Steven Steinberg joined the GKM Advisers in 2002 from Tower Asset Management, where he worked as a stock broker and money manager since 1994. Previously, Steinberg enjoyed a 17-year career in the music industry, beginning as an entertainment lawyer in Beverly Hills (Shapiro & Steinberg). He later became a partner in Dreamland Records (music production, distribution and publishing). He was also a partner in SOS Management, an artist management company. Steinberg earned a BA from DePaul University and his JD degree from John Marshall Law School, both in Chicago.
Wayne S. Woodman
Wayne S. Woodman is responsible for the sales and marketing efforts of the firm's investment counseling business. He joined GKM Advisers in 2002 from Tower Asset Management, an affiliate of M.L. Stern & Co. LLC, where he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for over 10 years. Prior to joining Tower, Woodman worked in various capacities at M.L. Stern & Co., including Senior Vice President, Head of the Taxable Bond Department and Head Taxable Bond Trader. He has served four terms as a member of the Charles Schwab Institutional Advisory Board and currently serves as a board member of the Los Angeles Business Council. Since 1998, Worth magazine has recognized Woodman on its annual 250 Best Financial Advisers survey from across the U.S. Woodman attended The Sanford Institute of Public Policy at Duke University where he earned a Bachelor's degree with a specialty in finance.
David L. Kahn, CFP®
David Kahn is responsible for compliance, client service, and operations for the firm. Prior to joining GKM Advisers in 2000, he worked for Wahl Financial, a Registered Investment Advisory. He has over 16 years of capital markets experience, including 5 years at Crowell Weedon & Co. Mr. Kahn earned an MBA from the University of California at Irvine and completed the Personal Financial Planning Certificate Program at UCLA Extension. He holds the Certified Financial Planner™ designation.
Michael A. Puryear
Michael A. Puryear joined GKM in February of 2002 from UBS Wealth Management. As Client Services Manager, Michael builds and maintains long-lasting relationships with GKM clients. Puryear also works directly with the GKM Advisers portfolio management team. Michael graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern California and is an active member in the community.
